Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of
the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model assisted by interactive PowerPoint on student learning outcomes in the subject of Machining Engineering at SMK Yasmu Manyar Gresik. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The subjects of the study were grade XI students majoring in Machining Engineering consisting of two groups, namely the experimental group implemented with the PJBL model assisted by interactive PowerPoint, and the control group using the teacher-centered learning method (Teacher-centered learning). Data were collected through tests and observations of the learning process. Data analysis was carried out using a t-test to see significant differences in scores between the two groups. The results showed that the implementation of the PJBL model assisted by interactive PowerPoint had a significant effect in increasing student engagement and understanding in the subject of Welding Engineering compared to the teacher-centered learning method (Teacher-centered learning).
