Abstract

In reading skills, students need to practice in order to know the level of understanding German language.
Practice can be ontained through various sources, one of them is the Deutsch Hören & Lesen application.
This application contains question packages that can be used as practice. However, it needs to be analyzed
to determine the suitability of the questions, so that they can be used by students. From this background, the
problem formulation in this scientific article is how appropriate the Familie theme practice questions are in
the Deutsch Hören & Lesen application. This purpose of writing this scientific article is to describe the result
of the analysis of the suitability of the Familie theme practice questions for reading skills in the Deutsch
Hören & Lesen application with the 2013 curriculum and the rules of writing multiple choice questions. The
benefit of this scientific article is that it can determine the suitability of the practice questions on the Familie
theme for reading skills in the Deutsch Hören & Lesen application with the 2013 curriculum and the rules of
writing multiple choice questions. The approach that used is qualitative descriptive with a literature study
method. The literature review used is the theory of reading skills, reading exercises, rules of writing
questions, the 2013 curriculum, and the Deutsch Hören & Lesen application. The result of the analysis that
have been carried out are that there are 4 packages of appropriate questions, namely “Ich bin Tom”, “Meine
Familie”, “Martin, Leonie, und Christian”, and “Maria und Ihre Familie”.
