Abstract

German is one of the foreign languages taught at SMAN 1 Gedangan. Monotonous teaching and learning activities cause students to feel bored and bored. This research is motivated by a new innovation in the form of online media that educators can use in learning activities. The purpose of this study is to find out the learning outcomes of students in learning German on the theme of kennenlernen class X semester 1 which is carried out through kahoot media. This research was conducted in class X MIPA 6 and X MIPA 8 at SMA Negeri 1 Gedangan for the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is a descriptive quantitative research where the final data is in the form of scores obtained by students after taking the test. The instrument of this study was a test on kahoot media. The test results were analyzed according to the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) as the limit. The test results obtained from class X MIPA 6 students were 42.5% getting scores above the KKM and 57.5% of students getting scores below the KKM score. While the test results obtained by class X MIPA 8, namely 47.2% scored above the KKM and 52.7% scored below the KKM. Through a questionnaire sheet processed with a Likert scale it was found that 38.6% of students strongly agreed, 39.4% agreed, 18.9% disagreed and 2.7% strongly disagreed with the kahoot media used in learning German. The results showed that students in class X MIPA 6 and X MIPA 8 had not reached 50% of the total number of students to get the completion criteria.
