Abstract

Writing skills are demanding and complex productive skills that must be mastered with correct and consistent practice. According to the data, the average daily writing test score of students in class XI - IBB at SMA Negeri 2 Sidoarjo is 64.6 which is still below the KKM, thus an appropriate learning strategy is needed to support student learning achievement. Therefore, the research was conducted to answer the problem 1) How is the application of Concept Sentence cooperative learning model with Flash Card media for German simple sentence writing skill? 2) What are the learning outcomes of students' simple sentence writing on the Concept Sentence cooperative learning model with Flash Card media?. This research aims to describe the implementation and determine the learning outcomes of writing simple sentences in the German language using the cooperative learning model called concept sentence with the assistance of flashcards as a medium. This research method is descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate the successful implementation of the concept sentence learning model, with an achievement of 91% in the first session, 93% in the second session, and 95% in the third session. Meanwhile, the student learning outcomes show an average score of 67 in the first session, then 78 in the second session, and 86 in the third session. In conclusion, the cooperative learning model of concept sentence with flashcards can be utilized as an innovation in teaching German writing. In addition, the average student writing learning outcomes showed positive results.
