KESESUAIAN VIDEO YOUTUBE LEARN GERMAN SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SPRECHFERTIGKEIT BAHASA JERMAN SISWA KELAS XI DI SMA NEGERI 12 SURABAYA

Being a social human being means using language to communicate. Some of the skills required to learn a language include reading, listening, speaking and writing. This also applies to education in Indonesia which focuses on language learning. At SMA Negeri 12 Surabaya there is German language learning which turns out that students at the school find it difficult in this lesson, especially in speaking skills. This study examines the suitability of YouTube Learn German videos with the learning objectives of German language class XI on the theme of Kleidung. This study utilizes five YouTube videos from that YouTube channel "die Kleidung" theme as its primary data source. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology to assess the suitability level of selected videos as data sources. The five videos were each analyzed with six criteria for selecting audio-visual learning media according to Prastowo. Based on data analysis, the result are the video entitled “Learn German | German Vocabulary | die Kleidung | Clothes | A1” received a suitability score of 72,5%, the video entitled “A1 - Lesson 55 | Im Kaufhaus | Buying Clothes | Shopping | Learn German” received a suitability score of 75%, the video entitled “Learn German Vocabulary | Weather in German (Wetter)” received a suitability score of 65%, and the video entitled “Learn German | Wie ist das Wetter? | How's the weather? | German for beginners | A1 - Lesson 49” and “Learn German Vocabulary | Seasons in German | Jahreszeiten | A1” received a suitability score of 70%.
