Analysis of the “Familie” Material in the Deutsch Hören & Lesen Application as a Learning Medium for German Speaking Skills

This study aims to describe the suitability of the Familie material in the Deutsch Hören & Lesen application with the Merdeka Curriculum for Grade XI, as well as to explain how the material can support students’ German speaking skills. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. The data source consists of Familie materials in the application, which are divided into six subthemes. The research instruments used are a material-alignment checklist table and a phonetic transcription table. Data collection techniques are conducted through observation and documentation, while data analysis employs content analysis. The results show that the subtopics Unsere Familienfeste, Meine Cousins, and Familienurlaub planen archieved a percentage score of 88.57%; the subtopics Familiäre Wochenenden im Dorf and Familienfotos anschauen archieved 85.71%; while the subtopic Meine Familie archieved 82.85%, with an overall average score of 86.66%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Familie material in the Deutsch Hören & Lesen application is highly compatible with the Merdeka Curriculum for Grade XI.
