Challenges in mastering German writing skills (Schreibfertigkeit) are often associated with the suboptimal utilization of interactive learning media. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Padlet platform on the German writing skills of high school students and to compare its effectiveness with PowerPoint. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). The subjects consisted of 72 eleventh-grade students at SMAN 15 Surabaya, divided into an experimental group (XI-D3) and a control group (XI-D1). Data were collected through a writing test instrument themed Freizeitaktivitäten (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.931) and analyzed using Independent Sample T-Tests and N-Gain score tests via IBM SPSS. The results demonstrate a significant difference in learning outcomes (p < 0.001), with the experimental group’s mean post-test score (87.75) outperforming the control group (76.75). Furthermore, the use of Padlet proved effective, attaining an average N-Gain Score of 73.12%, categorized as a 'High' improvement. These findings conclude that the integration of Padlet is significantly more effective in supporting the development of students' German writing competence compared to conventional media.
