The German speaking skills of Grade XI students remain low due to limited mastery of language competencies, resulting in difficulties in constructing sentences as well as a lack of self-confidence. In addition, the continuous use of Wordwall media in learning activities has rendered the medium less varied and increasingly monotonous for students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Educaplay learning media with the theme of Beruf in improving students’ speaking skills and to identify the difference in effectiveness between Educaplay and Wordwall. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a Nonequivalent Groups Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of students from SMAN 1 Gedangan, namely class XI-12 with 34 students and class XI-10 with 33 students. The N-Gain test result of 0.68, with a percentage of 69%, indicates that Educaplay media is sufficiently effective for use in learning. Subsequently, the hypothesis test yielded a significance value of 0.021 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H₀ and the acceptance of H₁. This demonstrates that there is a significant difference and an improvement in effectiveness in the use of Educaplay compared to Wordwall. Based on these findings, it is concluded that Educaplay media is effective in enhancing the German speaking skills of students and is worthy of implementation as an innovative solution in the teaching and learning process.
