REDESIGN OF THE MEDICAL BUILDING STRUCTURE WITH COMPOSITE STRUCTURE AND ECCENTRICALLY BRACED FRAMES

Indonesia is one of the countries with high seismic activity because it is located at the meeting point between three tectonic plates, namely the Indo-Australian, Eurasian, and Pacific plates. The earthquake phenomenon in Indonesia caused a lot of damage to building infrastructure, thus triggering the concept of building planning that can withstand earthquakes. One of the concepts of planning earthquake-resistant structures is the Special Moment Frames (SMF) which is combined with earthquake arresting elements, namely the Eccentrically Braced Frames (EBF). This study aims to re-plan the structure from reinforced concrete to steel-concrete composite structure using the spectrum response dynamics analysis method. In this study, the structural planning on the column uses Concrete Filled Tube (CFT) columns with Hollow Structural Section (HSS) profiles and beams using Wide Flange (WF) profiles which are connected to composite plates using shear connectors. The results of the structure analysis showed that the mass participation reached 100% in the thirtieth variety and the structure period was 1.38 s. The deviation between floors that occurred was 26.86 mm and met the limit of the deviation of the permit. The seismic force division in SMF was 64% and EBF was 36%.
