Studies in Education, Language, and Literature (SELL) is a national, peer-reviewed journal published by S-3 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia, Universitas Negeri SUrabaya (Unesa) since 2025, with E-ISSN: XXXX-XXXX and P-ISSN: XXXX-XXXX. This journal publishes original research articles in the fields of three areas: 1) language learning, 2) linguistics, and 3) literature. In the area of ​​language learning, articles can cover strategies, media or teaching materials, and policies in language learning. In the area of ​​linguistics, articles can cover phonology, morphology, syntax, pragmatics, semantics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and other applied linguistics. In the area of ​​literature, articles can cover literary criticism, literary psychology, literary sociology, and other topics.

Studies in Education, Language, and Literature (SELL) is dedicated to becoming a reputable national journal by publishing high-quality scientific articles in both Indonesian and English, and aims to serve as a key reference for researchers and professionals in relevant domains. All submitted manuscripts undergo a single-blind peer review process conducted by qualified reviewers. Submissions are accepted in Bahasa Indonesia or English and must meet the journal’s editorial and academic standards.

Before submission.
Please ensure that your paper is prepared according to the SELL Journal paper Template, has been thoroughly proofread and polished, and adheres to the author guidelines.

Authors who wish to submit their manuscript to this journal must adhere to the writing guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with the guidelines or are written in an incorrect format will BE REJECTED at the initial stage by the editors before further review. The editors will only accept manuscripts that meet the prescribed format.

Information.
We recommend that authors screen their manuscript's similarity index before submitting to our journal to ensure the article is original. Every manuscript submitted to the Studies in Education, Language, and Literature (SELL) is checked using Turnitin, a plagiarism detection software. If the manuscript shows a similarity index higher than 25%, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision.

Reminder for all authors: You are expected to submit papers that:

  1. They are original and have not been submitted to any other publication.
  2. Include at least 15 references, with 80% from scientific journals.
  3. Cite references published within the last 5 years.
  4. Follow the template (ind) or template (eng) specified by the Journal of Learning Materials and Strategies 
  5. Use a reference manager (e.g., Mendeley or others) when managing the references.
