PENGGUNAAN MEDIA BENDA KONKRET UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA TENTANG PERKALIAN YANG HASILNYA BILANGAN DUA ANGKA PADA SISWA KELAS II SDN BENOWO IV/127 SURABAYA

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji penggunaan media konkret untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan pencapaian hasil belajar siswa kelas II pada pembelajaran perkalian bilangan yang hasilnya bilangan dua angka. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan metode kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Benowo IV/127 Surabaya yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan penggunaan media konkret berupa batang korek api, permen atau kelereng, hasil belajar siswa, dan tes. Hasil pengumpulan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil nilai ketercapaian kegiatan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan, Maka menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru pada siklus I sebesar 82,3% dan pada siklus II meningkat 91,5% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, hal ini terbukti pada siklus I sebesar 82,5% dan pada siklus II meningkat 92% dengan kategori sangat baik. Selain itu, hasil tes pada siklus I mencapai 75% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 89,2% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan media batang korek api dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa serta hasil belajar siswa pada materi perkalian di kelas II SDN Benowo IV/127 Surabaya.

Abstract: This research is aimed to study the using of concrete media in order to find out second grade student motivation progress and student learning achievement at Mathematics in multiplication learning process which has two digit result. Classroom Action Research design is applied in this research by using qualitative method. The subjects of the research were the teacher and 28 students of second grade in Benowo IV/127 Elementary School Surabaya. The data is collected from the observation result of the using of concrete media, such as matches sticks, candies or marbles, the result of student learning process, and test result. Furthermore, the result of the data collection is analyzed by using a descriptive qualitative analysis technique. The result of achievement score for learning activity in the class has increased. The improvement also occurred at the classical accomplishment percentage from 82,3% at the first cycle up to 91,5% at the second cycle which classified as very good category. Meanwhile, the class average score achieved 82,5% the cycle I and it increased up to 92% at the cycle II. The result of student test achieved 75% at the cycle I and it also increased up to 89,2% at the cycle II which has the same very good category. From those results, it is concluded that the using of concrete thing in Mathematics learning able to improve student learning outcomes in term of multiplication subject for two digit result at the second grade students of Benowo IV/127 Surabaya.
