PENERAPAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: IPA adalah suatu ilmu pengetahuan yang sangat dekat dengan alam. Dalam konsepnya selalu berhubungan dengan fakta-fakta yang nyata. Belajar IPA bukan hanya sekedar menghafalkan konsep dan prinsip IPA,mata pelajaran IPA adalah ilmu pengetahuan yang bertujuan untuk menanamkan dan mengembangkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap dan nilai ilmiah pada siswa serta rasa cinta dan menghargai kebesaran Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. (Nurhayati: 2009). Berdasarkan hasil observasi hari selasa tanggal 18 Desember 2012 di kelas IV SDN Perak Barat Surabaya pada proses pembelajaran guru masih menggunakan cara mengajar yang konvensional atau berpusat pada guru sebagai pemberi informasi, dan siswa hanya mendengarkan materi yang disampaikan oleh guru sehingga hasil belajar siswa rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan keterampilan proses dalam pembelajaran mata pelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDN Perak Barat Surabaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Perak Barat Surabaya melalui penerapan keterampilan proses. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Perak Barat Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Setiap siklus terdiri 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes. Data hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dianalisis dalam bentuk persentase. Data tes hasil belajar siswa dianalisis berdasarkan persentase ketuntasan belajar secara individu dan klasikal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan sebesar 15% yaitu dari 76,25% pada siklus I menjadi 91,25% pada siklus II. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 16,64%, yaitu dari 75,31% pada siklus I menjadi 91,95% pada siklus II. Pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa dengan menerapkan ketrampilan proses dalam pembelajaran IPA berjalan dengan baik dan mencapai keberhasilan. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 15,79% yaitu dari 76,32% pada siklus I menjadi 92,11% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan ketrampilan proses dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract: IPA is a science that is very close to nature. In concept always in touch with the real facts. Studying science is not just memorize the concepts and principles of science, science subjects are science that aims to inculcate and develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values ​​in students as well as scientific and appreciate the greatness of the love of God Almighty (Nurhayati:2009). Based on the observation on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in class IV SDN Perak Barat Surabaya on the learning process in the classroom teachers still use the conventional way of teaching or teacher-centered as a conduit of information, and students just listen to the material presented by the teacher so that student learning results lower. The purpose of this study to improve student learning results by applying skills in the learning process of science subjects in class IV SDN Perak Barat Surabaya. This study aimed to describe the activities and results of the fourth grade students of SDN Perak Barat Surabaya through the application of process skills. The subjects were all students of class IV SDN Perak Barat Surabaya. This type of research is classroom action research. Each cycle consisted four phases: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data were obtained through observation and tests. Data observations analyzed the activities of teachers and students in the form of a percentage. Student achievement test data were analyzed based on the percentage of mastery learning individually and classical. The results showed increased activity of teachers by 15%, from 76.25% in the first cycle to 91.25% in the second cycle. While the student activity increased by 16.64%, from 75.31% in the first cycle to 91.95% in the second cycle. Observation activities of teachers and students to apply skills in science learning process goes well and achieve success. While the learning results of students has increased by 15.79% from 76.32% in the first cycle to 92.11% in the second cycle. It can be concluded that the application of process skills can improve student learning outcomes.
