PEMANFAATAN LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS DESKRIPSI DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah adanya kesulitan pada siswa kelas IV A SDN Babatan 1/456 Surabaya dalam menulis karangan deskripsi, yang ditandai dengan persentase siswa yang belum tuntas memenuhi KKM sebesar 70 sebanyak 75%. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah, untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV A pada pelajaran bahasa Indonesia yaitu menulis deskripsi yang memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah, dan mendeskripsikan kendala yang muncul pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung dan cara mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan PTK. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV A SDN Babatan 1/456 Surabaya yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I mencapai 90,20% dengan rata-rata nilai ketercapaian sebesar 80,51. Pada siklus II rata-rata persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan menjadi 93,54% dengan rata-rata nilai ketercapaian sebesar 86,64. Hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus I sebesar 60,71% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 88%. Berdasarkan hasil data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas IV A SDN Babatan 1/456 Surabaya.

Abstract: The background of this research was the difficulted of the fourth A grade students of State Elementary School Babatan I/456 Surabaya in description writing lesson which was pointed out by the percentage of students that have not reach the score of  standard minimum which was 70 was 75%. The aim of this research are to  describes the learning implementation which used school environment, describes the fourth A grade student’s score in Indonesia Language lesson which was description writing which used the school environment and also to describes the obstacles that were found and how to solve it during the learning activity. This research used classroom activity research design. The subject of this research was the teacher and the fourth A grade students of State Elementary School Babatan I/456 Surabaya which contained 28 students. The data collection technique that used was observation and test. The research’s result showed the average of learning implementation percentage in first cycle  reached 90,20% with the average of achievement score was 80,51. In the second cycle the average of learning implementation percentage  increased to become 93,54% with the average of achievement score was 86,64. The student’s score showed the learning thoroughness in the first cycle was 60,71 and increased in the second cycle up to 88%. Based on those result, it concluded that the used of school environment could increased the description writing skill of fourth A grade students of State Elementary School Babatan I/456 Surabaya.
