Abstract

Cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT) is a learning method, involving the activities of all students without any difference in status, involving students as peer tutors, and contains elements of the game and reinforcement. The problem in this research is: How the implementation of cooperative method type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) in speaking skills at the class XI IA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo is?. The purpose of this research is: to Know how the implementation of the cooperative method type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) in speaking skills at the class XI IA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The Implementation of cooperative methods types Teams Games Tournament (TGT) in the speaking skills at
the class XI IA 3 SMAN 1 Driyorejo shows that the implementation of cooperative method type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) is used effectively in speaking skills. The students are activer and happier in Germany, so that the student average in speaking skills increase from pre-test 50.62, to 82.05 at post-test.
