  7. Manuscripts should be 8–15 pages long, including figures, tables, and references, in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  8. Manuscript Structure

  10. Author names and affiliations: full names without academic titles, followed by department, institution, city, country, and email address. The corresponding author must be indicated. ORCID iDs are recommended. Author information must be removed from the file uploaded for review (see Blind Review below).
  11. Abstract: 150–250 words in a single paragraph, stating the problem, objective, method, main quantitative results, and conclusion. Avoid citations in the abstract.

  19. Figures, Tables, and Equations

Figures must be clear and legible (minimum 300 dpi), numbered consecutively, and cited in the text (e.g. Fig. 1). Figure captions are placed below the figure, and table captions above the table. Tables should be editable, not images. Equations must be written using an equation editor, numbered consecutively in parentheses on the right, and all symbols defined with SI units.

  1. References
  2. References must follow the IEEE citation style, numbered in square brackets [1] in order of appearance in the text.
  3. A minimum of 15 references is required, at least 80% of which are primary sources (journal articles or conference proceedings) published within the last 10 years.
  4. Authors are strongly encouraged to use a reference manager (Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote) and to include the DOI for every reference that has one.
  5. Self-citation should be relevant and should not exceed 20% of the total references.
  6. Blind Review

JTE uses a double-blind peer-review process. Before uploading, authors must remove names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and other identifying information from the manuscript file and from the document properties (File > Info > Inspect Document in Microsoft Word). Self-citations should be written in the third person.

  1. Submission Procedure
  2. Register as an author at https://ejournal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/JTE/user/register and log in.
  3. Click "Make a New Submission" and complete all steps in the OJS submission wizard.
  4. Enter the complete metadata for every author (full name, affiliation, country, email, and ORCID iD), the title, abstract, keywords, and references.
  5. Upload the anonymized manuscript file. Supplementary files (e.g. datasets or code) may be uploaded separately.
  6. Confirm the submission checklist and the Copyright Notice, then complete the submission.

Authors can track the status of their manuscript through their OJS dashboard. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments, with changes highlighted in the manuscript.
