Post-Publication Discussion
Jurnal Teknik Elektro (JTE) encourages scholarly discussion of published articles and recognizes that scientific knowledge develops through open debate and correction.
- Submitting a Comment
Readers who wish to comment on, raise questions about, or propose a correction to a published article may send a written comment to the Editor-in-Chief at [email protected]. The comment should cite the article (title, volume, issue, and DOI), be objective and constructive, focus on the scientific content rather than the authors, and preferably not exceed 1,000 words.
- Letter to the Editor and Author Reply
Comments that raise substantive scientific issues may be published as a "Letter to the Editor" after editorial assessment and, where appropriate, peer review. The authors of the original article will be invited to submit a "Reply", and both will normally be published together in the next available issue and linked to the original article.
- Outcomes
If a comment reveals an error, the matter will be handled under the Corrections, Retractions & Withdrawal policy. If a comment raises concerns of possible misconduct, it will be handled under the Research Misconduct policy.
- Other Channels
Discussions of published articles on external platforms (e.g. PubPeer or social media) that come to the journal's attention will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and handled through the procedures above where necessary.
