Abstract

This research aims to explain the influence and to calculate how much effect history of Social sciences courses with problem based learning influenced to critical thinking skills of student XI IIS2 at SMAN 1 Babat. This research uses quantitative approach with ex-post facto method (research non experiment). Based on research, history of social sciences courses with problem based learning have effect that improve critical thinking skills of student XI IIS2 at SMAN 1 Babat. Based on data analizing showed that value of significant is 0,000 < 0,05 and Rcount 0,727>Rtabel product moment 0,355 so It can be conclude that correlation between the history of social sciences courses with problem based learning to critical thinking skills of student XI IIS2 at SMAN 1 Babat showed strong level relation and correlation is significant because (p : 0,000) < 0,05. Based on data of linear regression simple test on SPSS showed that value of R square is 0,529. It can be conclude that impact of the history of social sciences courses with problem based learning to critical thinking skills of student XI IIS2 at SMAN 1 Babat is 52,9%.
