Journal Description

AVATARA e-Journal Pendidikan Sejarah is an open-access scholarly journal published by Laboratorium Rumah Sejarah. This journal provides an academic platform for the publication and exchange of knowledge in history education, historical research, historiography, and cultural studies. AVATARA e-Journal Pendidikan Sejarah accepts original research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, and theoretical studies written by lecturers, researchers, teachers, students, historians, and education practitioners. Each manuscript is expected to present a clear academic contribution, utilize appropriate research methods, and address relevant issues in historical studies or history education. Through the publication of reliable and academically responsible works, AVATARA e-Journal Pendidikan Sejarah strives to strengthen historical awareness, encourage innovation in history teaching, and broaden scholarly discussion on local, national, and global historical developments.

AVATARA provides immediate open access to all published articles. This policy is intended to ensure that historical knowledge and educational research can be accessed, read, and used by the wider academic community without subscription barriers.

Submitted manuscripts undergo an editorial screening to examine their relevance, originality, academic quality, and conformity with the journal guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are evaluated through a peer-review process involving reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the article.

Final publication decisions are made by the editorial team after considering the reviewers’ recommendations, the authors’ revisions, and compliance with the journal’s academic and ethical standards.

Originality and Publication Ethics
