Manuscript Author Guidelines
1. General Paper and Typography Format
- The manuscript must be written on A4 paper size.
- All text within the manuscript must use the Times New Roman font.
- Page margins must be set as follows: Top 2.5 cm, Bottom 2.5 cm, Left 2.5 cm, and Right 2.5 cm.
- Line spacing is set to 1 cm, with the Before and After paragraph spacing set to 0 pt.
2. Title and Author Identity
- The title of the article must be written in Times New Roman, 12 pt, and must not exceed 20 words.
- The author's name must be written in Times New Roman, 11 pt.
- Below the author's name, institutional affiliation must be included, consisting of: Department (e.g., History Education), Faculty (e.g., Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), University, followed by an email address.
3. Abstract and Keywords
- The abstract must be written in a single paragraph with a length of approximately 200 to 250 words, using Times New Roman, 10 pt.
- The English abstract must be italicized.
- Authors are strongly encouraged to use a structured abstract pattern without including section subheadings within the text.
- The main elements that must be present in the abstract include: the broad context of the problem (background), research objectives, methods or theoretical framework, main findings, and conclusions.
- Keywords should consist of three to five words or phrases that are relevant and specific to the article.The first letter of each keyword must be capitalized, and the keywords must be separated by a semicolon (;).
4. Introduction
- The "PENDAHULUAN" (Introduction) section heading is written in 11 pt, while the body text uses 10 pt.
- This section must outline the research objectives and significance, as well as position the research within a broader context to assert its urgency.
- Authors must present a comprehensive review of current literature, including citations from key publications and relevant conflicting hypotheses or debates.
- The narrative must conclude by reaffirming the main focus and summarizing the conclusions, structured in a way that is understandable to academics outside this specific discipline.
5. Research Method
- This section is written in Times New Roman, 10 pt.
- The core elements that must be explained include: (1) research design; (2) population, sample, or target subjects; (3) data collection techniques and instruments; and (4) data analysis techniques.
- If applicable, the full specifications of any technical tools or specific materials used must be clearly described.
- For qualitative research (e.g., ethnography, phenomenology, case studies, or classroom action research), the author must describe the researcher's presence in the field, details of subjects or informants, duration and location of the study, data collection procedures, and data validity testing mechanisms.
6. Results and Discussion
- This section is written in Times New Roman, 10 pt, and represents the core and longest part of the manuscript.
- Findings must be presented straightforwardly and unambiguously. Authors do not need to elaborate on raw statistical calculation steps; simply report the final results of the analysis and hypothesis testing.
- The use of tables and graphs is highly recommended to clarify the narrative, provided they are always accompanied by textual reviews or interpretations.
- For qualitative research, results can be grouped into sub-sections that specifically address the research focus.
- The discussion section serves five main purposes: (1) to answer the research questions; (2) to explain the process of obtaining the findings; (3) to interpret the meaning of the findings; (4) to dialogue the findings with relevant theories and literature; and (5) to formulate new theories or revise existing ones.
- Interpretations must be based on logical reasoning and theoretical foundations. Field facts must be synthesized with previous research through valid references to confirm, reject, or modify old theories.
7. Tables, Figures, and Sub-headings
- Sub-headings and sub-sub-headings are written in Times New Roman, 10 pt.
- The titles and contents of Tables, as well as the titles and sources of Figures, must be written in Times New Roman, 10 pt.
8. Conclusion
- Written in Times New Roman, 10 pt.
- It must present a synthesis of the research findings that directly answers the study's objectives.
- Authors must avoid merely repeating the abstract or simply copying the explanations from the Results and Discussion section.
- Authors are highly encouraged to provide recommendations regarding future research directions and to identify relevant ongoing research.
9. References
- The bibliography formatting must strictly use the Chicago Manual of Style.
- References can be classified into various types, such as: Archives & Documents, Interviews, Newspapers, Books, Scientific Journals, Articles, and Internet sources
