Abstract

Tradition is anything that is born, grows and develops in an area that becomes a habit and takes root and is carried out from generation to generation by supporters of that area. Art is part of the existing culture and grows in society. Art is born in accordance with the development of society in an area. Because geography and demographics are different, each region has different arts. Bojonegoro as one of the regions in East Java has quite a variety of arts, one of which is unique to Bojonegoro's music, namely Oklik. Oklik art is a distinctive musical art that is manifested in traditional arts originating from Sobentoro Village, Balen District, Bojonegoro Regency. Oklik music includes a rhythmic musical instrument, which is made of bamboo which is how to play it by being hit with bamboo. Oklik is a traditional art that uses simple tools, namely bamboo kentongan. Oklik is an icon of the original traditional art of Bojonegoro Regency and has received national recognition because this Oklik art grows and develops in the Bojonegoro area. So that from the different ways of playing the word oklik, it comes from “klik klok klik klik klok klik”. The 4 rhythm patterns are called charcoal kinthel, kerep kerep, gedog, and klur kinthel. Each part has a different function even though the instrument is the same. That is what makes occasional music different from music that comes from other regions. Keywords: Tradition, Art, Oklik
