PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN KARTU HISTORY CARD PADA MATA PELAJARAN SEJARAH KELAS XI SMA

Abstract

History subjects have been given since the basic, middle to upper education unit level. But in reality, history lessons are one of the lessons that have less appeal for students. Students stop being indifferent and pay no attention to the teacher when teaching. Apart from the teaching methods of teachers who still use conventional methods such as various lectures, it is also due to the minimal use of media in learning. In fact, the media itself plays a very important. This research belongs to the type of Research and Development or also known as R&D. with using 4D (Four-D) development model. This research produces a product of historical learning media, namenly yhe History Card. History Card is a card game played by 4 people whose way of playing is adapted from the Seven Spade card game. This media uses Basic Competencies 3.1 Analyzing the Entry Process and the Development ef European Colonization to Indonesia. subject in this study were class XI IPS 2 SMAN 18 Surabaya, totaling 36 students. The results showed that the history card media as a whole received an assessment of 88.2% with a very valid category by media experts, 80% with a valid category by material experts, and got a score of 88.9% from student responses in all indicator, and from that information can be concluded that the History Card can be use as a media for learning history major in class.
