PERKEMBANGAN ORGANISASI TAPAK SUCI DI SURABAYA TAHUN 1966-1991

Abstract

The Sacred Site of Putera Muhammadiyah is an organization under the auspices of Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah as the 11th autonomous organization. The Sacred Site is easily accepted by the community because the Islamic-based martial arts college is based on the Qur'an and As-Sunnah and has a brotherhood. Sacred Site was established on 10 Rabiul Awal 1383 H or coincided with July 31, 1963 in Kauman Yogyakarta. The birth of the Holy Site has the purpose of defending religion and nation. Surabaya is one of the destinations for the development of Sacred Sites so that with a long process with historical roots, Tapak Suci Surabaya was officially established on September 2, 1966. The problems examined in this study are: The Establishment of Holy Site Organization in Surabaya, The Development of Sacred Site Organization in Surabaya, The Work of The Holy Site Organization on cultural aspects and its impact on society. The research method used by researchers is a historical research method that has several stages, namely: researchers collect several sources from books, archives, the internet, and conduct interviews on historical witnesses. Furthermore, the researchers criticized the source by linking the information obtained. Researchers interpret the information that has been linked so that it can do history writing. The establishment of The Sacred Site organization in Surabaya started from the organizational structure of Muhammadiyah Youth Surabaya in the 1960s, among others, martial arts activities. Martial arts developed in muhammadiyah organization is one of the objectives to deal with the terrors launched by the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) and its sympathizers. AgusTjik was then continued by M.Yazid to form a youth martial arts organization muhammadiyah North Surabaya with the name "Tunas Melati". After participating in two races represented by Chusnan David came up with the idea to join the martial arts organization in the auspices of Muhammadiyah, the Sacred Site. The development of The Sacred Site of Surabaya is emphasized more on the development of the movements, the result of the combination of the Sacred Site college and the development of Sedayu martial arts pencak owned by the warrior Chusnan David. The establishment of The Sacred Site Organization in Surabaya has a gait and positive impact for the people of Surabaya because of the guidelines and openness of knowledge and expertise.
