Abstract

The research aimed to show the influence of interactive multimedia based on powerpoint toward the students’ motivation in learning history subject in the Class X MM at SMKN 2 Sukorejo during the online learning policy because of the covid-19 pandemic. Powerpoint is a simple application that is familiar to both teachers and students. Powerpoint can be used as interactive multimedia through the available features. In addition, it also influences the students’ learning motivation, especially for the history subject. The research method was quantitative using the Guttman scale measuring instrument. This research led to problem formulations to determine the influence of interactive multimedia based on powerpoint toward the students’ motivation in learning history subject and how much it affects the students during the online learning policy because of the covid-19 pandemic. The result showed that there was a strong positive correlation of interactive multimedia based on powerpoint toward the students’ motivation in learning history subject in the Class X MM at SMKN 2 Sukorejo with a total percentage of 61,1% during the online learning policy because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
