PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI BIOGRAFI BUNG TOMO DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH BERBASIS DEVELOPMENTAL APPROACH-TRANSFORMATIF DI SMAN 1 KREMBUNG

Abstract

Character education for now is absolutely necessary not only in school, but also in the home environment and even in the social environment. Character education participants are no longer from early childhood only, but also in adulthood. Because character education is indispensable for the survival of the nation in the future. Character education is a sustainable need in raising and to strengthen the awareness of the Indonesian people that a better future must be pursued by building and strengthening the character of the Indonesian nation. There are still a lot of juvenile delinquency that occurs in Indonesia, especially in children at the age of still in school. In this study, researchers will use biographical media from Bung Tomo by using approach-transformative approach in historical learning. Which is where the application is done here is through biography as a strengthening of the character of the learners. From the description above, there is a problem formulation that includes: 1) what values are contained in bung tomo's role in the struggle of November 10, 2) how educators can apply or reform the values of bung tomo's character into the process of learning history. Based on the formulation of existing problems, the purpose of this research is: 1) to know the character of Bung Tomo who is brave, responsible, honest, trustworthy, assertive, loyal, and others. 2) describe the role of educators in transforming character education through historical biographies of Bung Tomo by displaying powerpoints as well as videos or pictures and also by providing tasks related to character education through biographies of Bung Tomo.In this study, researchers used historical research methods consisting of four stages used by researchers, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The application of the characters given is very much, and the most important aspect is honest attitude. It is expected that with the biographical media, students of class XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Krembung become not bored and interested in learning history, can practice honest attitude for the future, better know and love the nation and its fighters.
