Abstract

The one way that is currently being taken is by taking advantage of technological advances for a teacher to deliver the material should be. Because of the online learning that attrached the attention of author to examine this phenomenon. The athor wants to eamine the effect of online learning, especially the applications that have been widely used, namely WhatsApp on student learning outcomes by considering student perceptions, where the results are the changes obtained by students carrying out the learning process both formally, informally, and nonformally. In this study, the authors used quantitative research methods. The research used is Pre-Experimental Design with the type of One Shot Case Study to determine the magnitude of the effect of variable X on variable Y. This experimental methods uses only one group known for certain treatment without a comparison group and without any Pre-Test. The variables in this study were Students’ Perceptions of Online Learning based WhatsApp Group (X) and Learning Outcomes (Y). The type of data used in this study is interval data. The analysis test of the hypothesis in this study uses associative hypothesis analysis of the-party test by comparing the correlation between R-hitung and R-tabel Product Moment. These results indicate that theres an influence between the two variables. From the results of the product moment correlation test, known that correlation coefficient values 0.351 and the Low category, the significances 0.036 < 0.05 , which mean that data has a significant effect. The magnitude of influence can be seen from Rsquare Summary table with a value of 0.1234 or 12.34%. So, it can be concluded that Students’ Perceptions of Online Learning based WhatsApp Group has a positive and significant effect to Learning Outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Sampang class X IPA 5 by 12.34% Keywords : Online Learning, WhatsApp, Learning Outcomes, Perceptions, Students
