Abstract

This study is motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has an impact on many aspects, including education, which requires online learning so that students can study independently. assessing the use of Google Classroom and the level of self-study ability at SMA Negeri 1 Mojosari The purpose of this study is to examine the use of Google Classroom to facilitate independent learning in SMA Negeri 1 Mojosari class XI IPS1 students. This survey employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive survey that makes use of questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation techniques. The Guttman scale is used in this questionnaire to master student scores on Google Classroom usage. A total of 32 students from class XI IPS 1 participated in this survey. The findings revealed that teachers and students who used Google Classroom online made use of several features that they might need for online learning, such as video conferencing and discussion forums. Save the file on gdrive for learning materials so that memory does not fill up quickly, but the level of self-study ability of students who cannot solve problems without the help of others and tend to be unable, so that the ability to study independently becomes less.
