SENI LUDRUK BESUTAN DI KABUPATEN JOMBANG TAHUN 2007-2013

Abstract

Ludruk Besutan is art of Jombang Regency. The development of ludruk besutan had ups and downs tides mark by a significantly decreasing intensity of Ludruk Besutan's performance. this condition was caused by various factors, therefore Ludruk artists and observers of Jombang culture compiled a Ludruk community called Arek Jombang or Palambang. The preparation of this palambang is caused by the unrest that arises due to the declining performance of Ludruk Besutan among the community which had an impact on teenagers in Jombang who were considered to still not know Ludruk Besutan.
The formulation of the problems in this study include, among others, (1) Why Ludruk Besutan suffered a setback even though the Palambang or community of Ludruk "Arek Jombang" was formed; (2) How was the effort made by Palambang to reintroduce Ludruk Besutan to the public; (3) What is the response of the community to the setback of Ludruk Besutan in Jombang.
This study used a historical writing method that includes four stages of writing such as heuristics (gathering resources) obtained through interviews with observers of Jombang culture and Ludruk practitioners. Criticism sources, researchers conducted interviews with observers of the culture of Jombang then select the results of the interview and compare it with written sources. Interpretation of sources, the authors interpret and analyze the facts obtained during the interview or contained in the news. Historiography, in this stage must write research results based on data.
The results of research related to the causes of Ludruk Besutan's setback include a decline in public interest, the Ludruk group that had no permanent members and the lack of regeneration. Second, the efforts made by Palambang to reintroduce Ludruk to the community by forming a small group and holding meetings at the sub-district level even though the implementation did not reach all the sub-districts in Jombang. Third, the community's response to the setback that occurred at Besutan Ludruk was the community that actually regretted it, but because of the lack of support, awareness, and interest from the whole community, this will not work optimally.
