Abstract

The corona virus is currently one of the problems where the spread of covid-19 has a fairly large impact on the education sector, resulting in the government in several regions holding regional restrictions to prevent the further spread of covid 19. This was conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia who had issued a policy to regulate the change in face-to-face conventional learning patterns in schools to distance learning during the pandemic emergency period. The existence of online learning and limited face-to-face learning increases new problems in learning, one of which has an impact on students' difficulties in understanding the material presented by the teacher. So that some schools apply one of the most popular learning models, namely the blended learning model that combines online and offline learning. Based on the existing problems, the researcher conducted this study to measure and analyze the level of students' understanding during the implementation of the blended learning learning model using the (CRI) technique which is one of the instrument questions to measure the level of understanding of students in answering questions. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year with the research subjects of class X-AK SMK Widya Karya Taman. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection using CRI-based questions. Based on the results of the analysis showed that as many as 55.3% of students understood the concept of the material well; 13.3% do not understand the material; and 31.2% of students experienced misconceptions. Thus, to strengthen the data, questionnaires and interviews were distributed, so that it was concluded that the application of the blended learning model had a fairly good impact on students' understanding. The blended learning model makes it easier for students to understand the material and is an effective way to overcome the limitations of teaching time during limited face-to-face learning during the pandemic.
