PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION BERBASIS COOPERATIVE TWO STAGE EXAM TERHADAP HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH KELAS X IPS SMAN 19 SURABAYA

Abstract

Learning in the 21st century aims to develop higher-order thinking skills. However, based on a field study that the researcher conducted in class X IPS SMAN 19 Surabaya, it was found that the history learning process that did not facilitate students resulted in the higher-order thinking ability of some students below the average. The results of the test scores in the form of HOTS given to students of class X IPS before giving treatment got an average score of 52.00. When viewed from the table for the category of higher-order thinking skills, the value is in the range of values from 41.00 to 60.99 with less indicators. To achieve a good score, students must achieve a score with a range of 61-80. Many factors are the cause, such as the teacher's lack of variation in learning models in the classroom and the difficulty of focusing faced by students so that the ability to solve HOTS is very low. This study discusses the effect of the implementation of the Group Investigation based on Cooperative Two Stage Exam on the Higher Order Thinking Skills of students in history learning in class X SMAN 19 Surabaya. This research was arranged using an experimental method with the type of Shot Case Study Design. sampling technique used is Probability Sampling with Cluster Proportional Random Sampling. The hypothesis test used is the associative hypothesis test. The instrument used for the variable (X) is an observation sheet based on lesson plans, student response questionnaires, and LKPD while for the variable (Y) is the result of the HOTS. The collected data is tested for normality first to find out whether the data is normally distributed or not. Then it was analyzed by usingone sample t-test with the results of Tcount 3.174 > Ttablel 2.001, with a significance of 0.002 <0.05.learning model Group Investigation based on Cooperative Two Stage has a positive influence in improving the high-level thinking skills of students in class X IPS SMAN 19 Surabaya.
