PENGARUH SOAL HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SEJARAH SISWA KELAS XI IPS SMA NEGERI 1 KRIAN PADA MATA PELAJARAN SEJARAH

Abstract

The 21st century demands the possession of Higher Order Thinking Skills. However, students' literacy skills are still below the international average according to PISA results. In response to this, literacy is now getting special attention by the Indonesian government, one of which is by promoting the School Literacy Movement. History, which is actually very closely related to literacy activities, should have an impact on students' literacy skills, especially historical literacy. Loaded questions HOTS affect historical literacy skills? The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Higher Order Thinking Skills on students' historical literacy skills. This research is a quantitative research with two variables, namely the questions of Higher Order Thinking Skills (X) and Historical Literacy Ability (Y). This research uses the experimental method of one shot case study design.hypothesis test One Sample T-Test was used as a data analysis technique, resulting in a tcount 11.012 > ttable 1.98896 which indicates an influence between X and Y variables. These results are in the acceptance area of Ha so that H0 rejected while Ha is accepted. Value of tcalculated 11.012 > 1.98896 with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05 indicates that the coefficient value is significant and applies to the population. Through habituation of hots questions based on knowledge construction, it is proven that students can think critically and analytically towards historical sources so that their historical literacy skills are increasing. So the use of hots has a positive and significant effect on the historical literacy ability of students in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Krian in history subjects.
