Abstract

One of the economic drivers of the people of Ponorogo Regency is the Ponorogo Breadfruit Eucalyptus Oil Factory. This factory is located in the Perhutani area which covers four sub-districts in Ponorogo Regency. The Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory is a factory owned by the State Forestry Public Company or Perhutani. Prior to 2006 the Eucalyptus Sukun oil mill was under the auspices of KPH Madiun. In 2006 through the decision of the directors of Perhutani, the eucalyptus oil factory of Sukun Ponorogo experienced a shift in its shade under the auspices of the Industri Non Kayu (INK). This study aims to 1) analyze the impact of shifting the shade of the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory from KPH Madiun to Industri Non Kayu (INK) in 2006-2017. 2) Analyzing theavailability of raw materials for the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory after the shift in shade from the Madiun KPH to the Industri Non Kayu (INK) in 2006-2017. 3) Analyzing the production results of the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory after the shift in shade from the Madiun KPH to the Industri Non Kayu (INK) in 2006-2017. This study uses historical research methods that have four stages, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, historiography. At the stage of collecting sources or heuristics, the search for sources is done by looking for oral, written and visual sources. Oral sources were obtained from direct interviews with factory managers. Sources of writing were obtained from several documents from several sources related to the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory, such as documents from the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory, documents from KPH Madiun, and the archives of the Ponorogo Regency Public Works Office. Researchers also used sources from books and journals related to the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory. The visual source was obtained from the photo collection of the East Java Provincial Library and Archives Service. The next step in this study was source criticism. Source criticism is carried out to sort out the data obtained so as to get the facts needed. The next stage is the stage of interpretation or incorporation of facts obtained from sources that have been obtained. The last stage is historiography or writing of historical events. At this stage the researcher analyzes and thinks critically to write about the events of the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory in 2006-2017. From this research, it was found that in 2006 Perhutani as the owner of the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory conducted an internal merger by combining the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory with Industri Non Kayu (INK). This decision aims to increase the effectiveness of the plant. From the results of the internal merger conducted by Perhutani, there were several changes, such as communication patterns with suppliers of production raw materials. The production raw materials used by the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory are supplied by KPH Madiun. After the Ponorogo Breadfruit eucalyptus oil factory merged with the Industri Non Kayu(INK), there was an increase in demand for eucalyptus oil raw materials. This happened to meet the target of increasing eucalyptus oil production.
