NILAI-NILAI DIDAKTIK DALAM UPACARA TRADISIONAL KUPATAN DI DESA DURENAN KABUPATEN TRENGGALEK TAHUN 2010-2019

Abstract

This kupatan tradition in Durenan Village is one form of religious traditions that has been brought by Walisanga in Indonesia. History of the existence of this kupatan tradition could develop differently in every region of Indonesia. The implementation of the kupatan tradition in Durenan Village has its own charm and uniqueness. But in reality, many people do not understand the didactic values contained in the kupatan tradition. In general, people only perform without understanding every noble value and every meaning contained. So, this study aims to analyze the didactic values or noble values contained in the kupatan traditional ceremony in Durenan Village. By this theme, then the research formulates problems 1) What are the didactic values in the kupatan traditional ceremony in Durenan Village, Trenggalek Regency in 2010-2019?. 2) How is the synergy of Islam in the kupatan traditional ceremony in Durenan Village, Trenggalek Regency in 2010-2019?. With the formulation of the problem, then the purpose of this research is to find out what noble values have been taught from the Kupatan tradition in Durenan Village, Trenggalek Regency. As well as could also find out the form of Islamic religious synergy found in the Kupatan tradition in Durenan Village, Trenggalek Regency. This research uses historical research methods, with stages such as heuristics, this stage namely the process of collecting primary and secondary sources. The primary sources in this writing are interviews, while the secondary sources use relevant books, journals and newspapers. For the second stage, namely Source Criticism, at this stage the sources that have been obtained are analyzed whether the source can be trusted. For the third stage, namely Interpretation, the sources that have been obtained are described into historical facts. And in the last stage, namely the Historiography stage, which is the stage where the sources that have been collected are compiled into historical stories. At this stage, later the historical stories can be described according to facts. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that traditional ceremonies in Durenan Village, Trenggalek Regency have didactic values or noble values contained in them. These values are the value of friendship, the value of tolerance, the value of religion and the value of sharing. Each of these noble values are taught to the community so that people can understand and apply them in everyday life. And from the results of the study, it can also be seen that the teachings of Islam are very synergized with local culture, namely this kupatan tradition. Seen from every series of events that have been carried out such as the Syawal fasting, tomb pilgrimage, tumpeng ketupat and processions or parades, these are Islamic teachings that have been acculturated or synergized with the Kupatan tradition in Durenan Village, Trenggalek Regency.
