KOMPARASI PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN QUIZIZZ DAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN KAHOOT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SEJARAH SISWA KELAS XII IPA SMA NEGERI 1 BALONGPANGGANG

Abstract

By taking the title of comparison, the problem studied in this study is to find out between the uses of these two applications, namely Quizizz and Kahoot. Which one can be more effective in improving student learning outcomes in history subjects on Parliamentary Democracy? The population in this study was class XII IPA SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang, totaling 141 students divided into 4 classes. Sampling in this study was carried out using a purposive sample technique, namely taking two classes from the population using certain considerations, such as the abilities possessed by students with characteristics that are felt to be almost the same in the field of knowledge, namely from the results of the students' last daily tests and on the basis of suggestions from the subject teacher. In history, the researchers took samples from class XII IPA 3 as the control class and XII IPA 4 as the experimental class, which consisted of 35 students each. Based on the analysis of cognitive learning outcomes (post test) with the t-test, it showed that there were differences in learning outcomes for class XII students in history subjects between students who used the Quizizz application learning media and students who used the Kahoot application learning media. The results of calculations on Quizizz learning outcomes with the t test obtained t count = 2.74. Referring to the t table at a significance level of 5% and df = 69, the t table value is 1.66. In conclusion, because the value of tcount ˃ ttable is 2.74 ˃1.66. And from the results of the sig. (2-tailed) ˂ 0.05, namely 0.008 ˂ 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then from the results of calculations on Kahoot learning outcomes with the t test obtained t count = -9.385. Referring to the t table at a significance level of 5% and df = 69, the t table value is 1.66. In conclusion, because the value of tcount ˂ ttable is - 9,385 ˂ 1.66. And the result of sig. (2-tailed) ˃ 0.05, namely 0.052 ˃ 0.05, then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. For this reason, the use of Quizizz learning media is more effective in improving student learning outcomes compared to using Kahoot.
