DINAMIKA TRADISI KIRAB QURBAN JAMAAH PENGAJIAN SURABAYA (JPS) DI KELURAHAN MANUKAN KECAMATAN TANDES KOTA SURABAYA TAHUN 2010-2019

Abstract

The tradition of the qurban carnival is the mention of the people of the Manukan Village for the implementation of the qurban of the Surabaya Recitation Congregation. This study examines (1) what is the background to the emergence of the Qurban carnival tradition in Manukan Village, Tandes District, Surabaya City; (2) What are the dynamics that occur in the Qurban carnival tradition in 2010-2019. This research is a qualitative description using historical research methods. This research was carried out by collecting relevant data, conducting source criticism to test the truth of the source, interpreting it by linking existing data, then in the final stage carrying out the historiography process to describe it in the form of a description. The results of this study explain the background to the emergence of the qurban carnival tradition and the dynamics that occurred in the implementation of the Qurban procession tradition of the Surabaya Study Movement in 2010-2019. The qurban carnival tradition was first held in 1957 based on some of the unrest felt by Kyai Abdul Madjid Ilyas. The dynamics that occurred during the implementation of the qurban carnival tradition in 2010-2019 were seen to occur significantly in 2012, when there was an additional type of animal qurban Etawa goat. The implementation of this tradition also experienced problems in 2014 with the peak of the problems in 2015. There was a change in the implementation of this tradition in 2017 with the addition of a series of traditions.Keywords: Tradition, Qurban Carnival, Surabaya Recitation Congregation
