PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THE LEARNING CELL TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH KELAS XI SMA NEGERI I BALONGPANGGANG

Abstract

History learning emphasizes learning that is directed for developing skills that in accordance with the needs of the
21st century, one of which is communication skills so that students are able to communicate historical events in an orderly
and well-structured manner. In this case, communication skills are an important aspect of learning with teachers to
encourage students to engage in more active activities to develop personal skills so that students take advantage of all
their cognition to be able to solve the problems they face. This research presents a cooperative learning model of The
Learning Cell type which emphasizes the activity of sharing historical knowledge with fellow colleagues in the form of
small scope discussions to be able to solve problems. This study aims to determine the causality of the relationship
between The Learning Cell cooperative learning model on communication skills, the causality relationship of
communication skills on learning outcomes, and the causality relationship of The Learning Cell type cooperative learning
model on student learning outcomes in history learning. The research conducted was a Quasi Experimental study with
Nonequivalent Control Group Design with instruments consisting of 20 student response questionnaire statements, 7
description test items, and 20 multiple choice test items as measurement instruments. The results of the measurements
show that The Learning Cell has a significant effect on communication skills by 54.6%, communication skills have a
significant effect on student learning outcomes by 72.6%, and The Learning Cell has a significant effect on learning
outcomes which affect it by 57%.
