PENGEMBANGAN ROLE PLAYING GAME (RPG) BERBASIS SCRATCH SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF DI SMAN 1 KRIAN

Abstract

This research aims to assess the feasibility of a Scratch-based Media Role Playing Game (RPG) product as an active
learning medium and describe the participants' responses to the learning experience using the Scratch-based RPG as an
active learning medium for the subject of History, specifically the Hindu-Buddha topic. The Scratch-based RPG media was
developed using the Research and Development (RnD) method, employing the ADDIE Model (analysis, design,
development, implementation, and evaluation). The research subjects for the Scratch-based RPG media were the 10thgrade
students of Class X-1 at SMAN 1 Krian. The results were evaluated and validated by media experts and subject
matter experts. The assessment by media experts obtained a percentage of 81.88%, categorized as highly feasible. The
assessment by subject matter experts obtained a percentage of 84.06%, categorized as highly feasible. Furthermore, the
questionnaire responses from the participants in Class X-1 at SMAN 1 Krian obtained a percentage of 86.43%, categorized
as highly feasible and suitable for use as an active learning medium.Based on the assessment results, the Scratch-based
RPG Media is deemed highly suitable for use and can be an effective active learning medium.
