PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SEJARAH SISWA KELAS XI SMAN 1 BALONGPANGGANG GRESIK

Abstract

High school student history learning outcome are still low. The ability to think critically is one of the important skills student have in facing the challenges of the times. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is considered as an effective learning model in improving students’ critical thinking skills. Using a Pre-experimental research design one group prettest posttest design. The sampling teqnique is judgement purposive sampling. The population is student from class XI SMAN 1 Balongpanggang Gresik. Data collection uses observation teqniques, student response questionnaries, and prettest posttest. The result has an effect Normality test prettest and posttest data obtained sig result of prettest sig 0.283>0.05 and posttest sig 0.358>0.05. paired sample T-test of 0.00<0.05 t value 13.682. The result of the hypothesis test obtained sig 0.000<0.05 so that 𝐻0 was reject and 𝐻𝑎 was accepted. The result of normalized student gain is 0.59. Students’ critical thinking skills are in the medium category. Whereas in the category of interpretation of the effectiveness of the N-gain score using the PBL model is Effective Enough.
