PENGARUH MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN KOMIK WEBTOON “DEDES” TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH KELAS X SMAN 8 KEDIRI

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 led to rapid technological developments. This encourages the digitalization process in all aspects, including the educational aspect. Besides that, this has also become a demand so that human resources are able to compete globally. The application of technology to learning tools also allows teachers to increase time efficiency and at the same time provide interactive and high-quality materials. One form of visual media which is the result of digitizing learning tools is digital comics. The advantages of digital comics as learning media are that they can create student learning interest, make material more interesting, and help students understand abstract concepts. Based on this background, there are 2 formulations of the problem in this study, namely 1) is there any influence of learning media on the webtoon comic "Dedes" on students' interest in learning history in class X SMAN 8 Kediri; 2) how much influence the webtoon comic "Dedes" learning media has on students' learning interest in learning history class X SMAN 8 Kediri. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research and with the Quasi Experimental Design method. The research design used in this study was a non-equivalent control group design model. The sample in this study consisted of 30 respondents from the experimental class and 32 respondents from the control class who were taken using the Probability Sampling technique with the Cluster Proportional Sampling model. The results showed that the Dedes webtoon comic media had a significant effect on learning interest with a tcount > ttable value of 2,771 > 2,000. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference in the results of the scores of students' interest in learning in the control class and the experimental class..
