PERJUANGAN LASKAR HIZBULLAH JOMBANG DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN KEMERDEKAAN 1944-1950

Abstract

The history of Laskar Hizbullah Jombang is still little known to the public. In Jombang there are several Islamic boarding schools (Pondok pesantren) led by large kyai with students (santri) who come from other regions in Indonesia. Islamic students and youth Jombang previously joined as a member of Laskar Hizbullah Jombang and fought to defend Indonesian independence. Even though Laskar Hizbullah Jombang has a big role in defending independence, in reality there are still many people who do not know about the history of Laskar Hizbullah Jombang. This research takes the problem formulation : (1) What is the background to the formation of Laskar Hizbullah Jombang? (2) What is the form of Laskar Hizbullah Jombang's struggle in defending independence? (3) What is the impact of Laskar Hezbollah Jombang after defending independence? This research uses historical research methods and approaches literature study as well interview. The first stage in this method is Heuristic, the stage of collecting historical sources that are relevant to the research topic. The next stage is criticism, the testing stage of the data obtained to obtain historical facts. The next process is the association of historical facts which is called the interpretation stage. The final stage of presenting the results of historical research in written form is called the Historiography stage. The conclusion of this research is that the formation of Laskar Hizbullah Jombang was motivated by the formation of the Central Hizbullah which then held training in Cibarusah. Initiation was carried out by kyai in Jombang by holding training in Seblak, Diwek, Jombang. Until the structural management of Laskar Hizbullah Jombang was officially formed on October 20th, 1945. During its development, Laskar Hizbullah Jombang underwent several structural transformations. The role of Laskar Hezbollah Jombang in defending independence is chronologically very long, and had political and social impacts after defending independence.
