Abstract

The research entitled "The Influence of Monopoly Game Learning Media on the Growth of Historical Awareness in Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Krian" contains the application of interesting history learning strategies using media that suits students' needs. This application is useful for raising students' historical awareness through the monopoly game learning media. As is generally known, students tend to lack the ability to have historical awareness so they are less able to understand the causes and consequences of a historical event. Through this research, researchers revealed the influence and magnitude of the contribution of the monopoly game learning media at SMAN 1 Krian using quantitative methods through Quasi Experimental Design in the form of Non Equivalent Control Group Design with the type of pretest-posttest control design. Sampling used a purposive cluster sampling technique. The analysis technique uses the Independent Sample T-Test using a two-tailed hypothesis test (Two-Tailed) and comparing Tcount with Ttable 15.911 > 2.023 with a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05 and R square of 0.808, so the decision in this study is Ha accepted and Ho rejected so that it can be concluded that treatment using monopoly learning media has an effect on students' awareness of history learning.
