Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of academic procrastination behavior on historical
academic achievement. This research is located at SMA IPIEMS Surabaya with the sample used, namely class XI IPS
with 54 students, using a quantitative research approach with a survey research method. The measuring instrument
used in this research is PPS (Pure Procrastination Scale) which has been modified to measure academic
procrastination as well as individual tests to measure historical academic achievement. Hypothesis testing was
carried out using a simple linear regression test which showed that the significance result was 0.958 > 0.05, which
can be concluded that there is no significant effect between academic procrastination variables and academic
achievement. The academic procrastination of SMA IPIEMS Surabaya students belongs to the high to very high
category.
