PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN FILM SEJARAH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI PADA MATA PELAJARAN SEJARAH DI SMAN 7 SURABAYA
Abstract
This research discusses the influence of the problem-based learning (PBL) model aided by historical film media on the critical thinking skills of students in the history subject for the 11th grade at SMAN 7 Surabaya. This study was conducted due to the low critical thinking skills of students, attributed to the teaching methods employed by educators, which are not student-centered or are based on outdated paradigms. The research employs a quantitative methodology with an experimental research type and a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of class XI-4 as the experimental group and class XI-8 as the control group. The data analysis techniques utilized included multiple linear regression, partial correlation tests, and F-tests. The results of the data analysis through multiple linear regression tests with T-tests indicated a significance value for variable X1 of 0.026 and a t-count of 2.329, while the t-table value was 2.037 (0.026 < 0.05 and 2.329 > 2.037). It was concluded that the problem-based learning model has an influence on students' critical thinking skills. For variable X2, the significance value was 0.035, the t-count was 2.186, and the t-table value was 2.037 (0.035 < 0.05 and 2.186 > 2.037). It was concluded that historical film media has an influence on critical thinking skills. The partial correlation test results showed an r-count value of 0.674 and an r-table value of 0.334, so 0.674 > 0.334 and the probability was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant relationship between the problem-based learning model and historical film media. The F-count value in the F-test was 17.687, with an F-table value of 3.28 (17.687 > 3.28) and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on these values, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the problem-based learning model aided by historical film media on students' critical thinking skills.
