PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN GAME BASED LEARNING BERBASIS MEDIA BOARD GAME ULAR TANGGA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN SISWA KELAS XI SMK NEGERI 6 SURABAYA

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of learning methods Game Based Learning media based Board Game Snakes
and Ladders on the reasoning abilities of class XI students at SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya. The background to this research
cannot be separated from the lack of student interest in history subjects, especially vocational school students. Most
vocational school students prioritize vocational subjects, while general subjects such as history tend to be put aside
because they do not suit their vocational field. Other factors are also influenced by the learning approach that is still in
nature Theacer Centered so students get bored easily, are often sleepy, and are more passive. Reasoning ability was
chosen because this ability is a cognitive skill that helps students to develop analytical skills in understanding, interpreting
and evaluating historical events. The aim of this research is to explain the influence of the Game Based Learning learning
method on students' reasoning abilities, the influence of the snakes and ladders board game media on students' reasoning
abilities, the relationship between learning methods Game Based Learning with the media Board Game Snakes and
Ladders, and the influence of media-based Game Based Learning learning methods Board Game Snakes and Ladders on
students' reasoning abilities. This type of research is quantitative research using research methods pre-experimental
design with one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis techniques used in this research are multiple linear
regression test, partial correlation test, and F test. Based on the results of the multiple linear regression test, method
variables can be identified. Game Based Learning has a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 with tcount 23.618 > ttable 2.034
so it can be concluded that H0 rejected and Ha accepted. Significance value of media variables Board Game Snakes and
Ladders is 0.000 < 0.05 with tcount amounting to 22,995 > ttable 2,034 034 so it can be concluded that H0 rejected and Ha
accepted. Based on the results of the partial correlation test, rcount 0,610 > rtable 0.339 so it can be concluded that H0
rejected and Ha accepted. Based on the results of the F test, the f value is obtainedcount 337,644 > ftable 3.295, with a
significance level of 0.000 < 0.05 so that H0 rejected and Ha accepted. So, it can be concluded that the learning method
Game Based Learning media based Board Game Snakes and Ladders are effective in improving students' reasoning
abilities, creating an interactive and fun learning environment, and supporting student-centered learning.
