Metakognitif ialah salah satu komponen penting dalam penuntasan standar kelulusan pada kurikulum Merdeka. Keterampilan metakognitif  perlu  disadarkan  kepada  peserta didik  agar mampu berpikir efektif  dalam proses pemecahan masalah Genetika dimana peserta didik  harus  memahami  konsep yang berkaitan  secara bertahap  untuk  mencapai  pemahaman  selanjutnya. Materi Genetika bersifat kompleks sehingga memerlukan multimedia dalam mempelajarinya. Salah satu solusi atas problematika tersebut yakni menyediakan bahan ajar  yang dapat melatihkan keterampilan metakognitif peserta didik dan bersifat interaktif. Tujuan penelitian ini guna menghasilkan e-book berorientasi strategi Know-Want-Learned (KWL) untuk melatihkan keterampilan metakognitif pada materi Genetika peserta didik SMA Kelas XII serta mendeskripsikan kelayakan e-book menurut hasil validitas dan kepraktisan. Pengembangan e-book mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Validitas e-book didapatkan dari hasil validasi 2 dosen ahli dan 1 guru biologi SMA. Validitas e-book berdasarkan komponen isi, penyajian dan kebahasaan dinyatakan sangat valid dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 98,66%. Hasil kepraktisan e-book ditinjau berdasarkan keterbacaan dinyatakan praktis digunakan pada jenjang SMA kelas 12 dan respon positif peserta didik dinyatakan sangat praktis dengan persentase sebesar 99,35%.

Abstract

Metacognition is one of the important components in completing the graduation standards in the Merdeka curriculum. Metacognitive skills need to be made aware to students to be able to think effectively in the Genetics problem solving process where students must understand related concepts gradually to achieve further understanding. Genetics material is complex so it requires multimedia in learning it. One solution to the problem is to provide teaching materials that are able to train students' metacognitive skills and are interactive. The purpose of this research is to produce an e-book oriented to the Know-Want-Learned (KWL) strategy to train metacognitive skills in genetics material for 12th and describe the feasibility of e-books according to the results of validity and practicality. E-book development refers to the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The validity of the e-book was obtained from the validation results of 2 expert lecturers and 1 high school biology teacher. The validity of the e-book based on the content, presentation and language components was declared very valid with an average percentage of 98.66%. The results of e-book practicality based on readability were declared practical for use at grade 12 high school level and the positive response of students was declared very practical with a percentage of 99.35%.
