Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Bernah De Vallei tourism sector in improving the welfare of the community in Kembangbelor Village. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative design. A total of 67 respondents were selected using simple random sampling. The independent variables include household size, type of occupation, gender, and age, while the dependent variable is community welfare measured through income. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression along with classical assumption tests, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that the type of occupation has a positive and significant effect on community welfare, with a significance value of 0.0018. Meanwhile, household size, gender, and age do not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence community welfare, indicated by an F-value of 17.61 and a significance of 0.000. The Adjusted R² value of 0.531996 indicates that 53.19% of the variation in welfare can be explained by the variables in the model. This study concludes that community involvement in tourism-related occupations plays a crucial role in improving economic welfare in Kembangbelor Village.
