Author Guidelines

  1. General Requirements

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to ISCO must comply with the following general requirements:

  1. Manuscripts must be original work that has not been previously published or is not currently under consideration for publication in another journal.
  2. Manuscripts should be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.
  3. Manuscripts must be submitted through the ISCO online submission system at https://ejournal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/isco.
  4. Manuscripts should be prepared using the ISCO journal template, which is available for download on the journal website.
  5. All manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin. The maximum similarity index allowed is 25%.

 

  1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts submitted to ISCO should follow this structure:

 

  1. Title: The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the manuscript. Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Maximum 15 words.
  2. Author(s) Name and Affiliation: Full name(s) of the author(s) without academic titles, along with institutional affiliation and corresponding email address.
  3. Abstract: Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English, with a maximum of 250 words. The abstract should include the purpose, methods, key findings, and conclusions of the study.
  4. Keywords: 3-5 keywords that represent the main topics of the manuscript, written in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  5. Introduction: Provides the background of the study, literature review, research gap, and the objective of the study.
  6. Methods: Describes the research design, participants/subjects, instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques used.
  7. Results and Discussion: Presents the findings of the research accompanied by relevant tables, figures, or graphs, and discusses the results in relation to previous studies and theoretical frameworks.
  8. Conclusion: Summarizes the key findings, implications, and recommendations for future research or practice.
  9. References: All references must be cited in the text and listed using APA Style 7th Edition. A minimum of 15 references is recommended, with at least 80% from journal articles published within the last 10 years.

 

  1. Formatting Guidelines
  • Paper size: A4 (210 mm x 297 mm)
  • Margins: Top 2.5 cm, Bottom 2.5 cm, Left 2.5 cm, Right 2.5 cm
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt for body text
  • Line spacing: 1.15
  • Manuscript length: 8-15 pages including references
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • References: Use Mendeley or Zotero as the reference manager, formatted in APA Style 7th Edition

 

  1. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be placed within the text at the appropriate points. Tables should be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.) with a descriptive title above the table. Figures should be numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.) with a descriptive caption below the figure. All tables and figures must be referred to in the text.
