Focus and Scope

Indonesian Strength Conditioning and Coaching Journal (ISCO) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the D4 Sports Coaching Study Program (Prodi D4 Kepelatihan Olahraga), Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. ISCO is dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in the fields of strength and conditioning and sport coaching.

 

ISCO publishes original research articles, review articles, and case studies related to sports coaching and physical training, with a primary focus on research from both Indonesian and global perspectives. The journal is published twice per volume, in July and December.

 

Scope

ISCO covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Strength and Conditioning — including program design, periodization, resistance training, power development, and conditioning methods for various sports.
  • Sport Coaching — encompassing coaching pedagogy, coaching effectiveness, athlete development, talent identification, and sport-specific coaching strategies.
  • Sport Biomechanics — covering movement analysis, kinematics, kinetics, sport technique optimization, and biomechanical modeling in sport performance.
  • Sport Physiology — including exercise physiology, physiological adaptation to training, energy systems, fatigue and recovery, and nutritional strategies for athletes.

 

Target Audience

ISCO is intended for researchers, academics, sport scientists, strength and conditioning coaches, sport coaches, sport practitioners, and students who are involved in the fields of sport science, coaching, and physical performance.
