PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP SISWA MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERBIMBING MATERI LARUTAN LEKTROLIT DAN NON-ELEKTROLIT (INCREASING OF STUDENT SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS AND MASTERING OF CONCEPTS THROUGH GUIDED INQUIRY LEARNING MODEL IMPLEMENTATION ON ELECTROLYTE AND NON-ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION MATTER)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi larutan elekrolit dan non-elektrolit melalui penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan desain penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian yaitu 35 peserta didik kelas X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Bangkalan, dengan instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar tes keterampilan proses sains dan lembar tes penguasaan konsep. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan beberapa data: (1) hasil belajar keterampilan proses sains meningkat, dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata untuk indikator merumuskan masalah, menyusun hipotesis, mengidentifikasi variabel, mengumpulkan data, menganalisis data, dan menyusun kesimpulan secara berturut-turut memperoleh nilai gain score 0,83; 0,82; 0,87; 0,82; 0,89; 0,75 dan termasuk kategori tinggi. (2) hasil belajar penguasaan konsep peserta didik juga mengalami peningkatan, dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai gain score sebesar 0,71 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan beberapa data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing mampu meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) dan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.

The purpose of this research is to improve science process skills and mastering concepts of students on electrolytes and non-electrolyte solution matter through implementation of guided inquiry learning model. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative research One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Subject of research is 35 students of X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Bangkalan, instruments that used were science process skills test and concepts mastery test. The results of this research obtained several datas: (1) the results of learning science process skills was increased, as proved by the average score for formulating problems, developing hypotheses, controlling variables, collecting data, analyzing the data, and making conclusion indicator obtained n-gain score of 0.83; 0.82; 0.87; 0.82; 0.89; 0.75 with a high category. (2) The outcome of mastery learning concept of students also increased, proved by n- gain score 0.71 with a high category. Based on some data, it can be concluded that the implementation of guided inquiry learning model can improve Science Process Skills (KPS) and mastering concepts of students on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution matter.
