PENGEMBANGAN PERMAINAN DIAMOND CHEMISTRY ADVENTURE SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN PADA MATERI POKOK HIDROKARBON KELAS XI SMA (DEVELOPMENT OF DIAMOND CHEMISTRY ADVENTURE GAME AS A  LEARNING MEDIA ON HYDROCARBON MATTER FOR ELEVENTH GRADE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan permainan Diamond Chemistry Adventure sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi pokok Hidrokarbon kelas XI SMA berdasarkan validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan permainan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan tahapan (1) Pendahuluan, (2) Pengembangan, (3) Uji coba. Namun penelitian ini hanya dilakukan hingga tahap uji coba terbatas. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan di kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Sidoarjo. Validitas diperoleh dari hasil penilaian permainan oleh 2 orang dosen kimia dan 1 guru kimia. Kepraktisan diperoleh dari hasil angket respon peserta didik setelah menggunakan permainan dan observasi aktivitas peserta didik selama menggunakan permainan. Keefektifan diperoleh dari hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas yang diperoleh pada setiap indikatornya mendapatkan  persentase validitas sebesar 80-93%, kepraktisan permainan pada aspek kemudahan mendapatkan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 96% dan aspek kemenarikan mendapatkan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 94,4%, serta observasi aktivitas mendapatkan persentase aktivitas sebesar 76% keefektifan yang diperoleh dari ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal sebesar 100%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan Diamond Chemistry Adventure layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi pokok Hidrokarbon kelas XI SMA.

This study aims to determine the feasibility of Diamond Chemistry Adventure games as a medium of learning in the subject matter of Hydrocarbon for eleventh grade of student Senior High School based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the game. This study used research and development (R & D) which had several step, which were (1) Introduction, (2) development, (3) trial. However, this study is only done to a limited test phase. Limited testing had done in eleventh grade of student Senior High School 4 Sidoarjo. Validity obtained from the ratings result of game by 2 professors of chemistry and one chemistry teacher. Practicality obtained from the questionnaire responses of learners after using the game and from the observation of the activities of learners during use games. The effectiveness obtained from learning outcomes of students. The results showed that the validity obtained in each indicator of validity earn a percentage of 80-93%, the practicality of the game on the aspects of easiness getting a practicality percentage 96% and the aspects of attractiveness gain practicality percentage 94.4%, and activity observation get a percentage of activity 76%. The effectiveness from classical learning completeness is 100%. Based of that result, we can conclude the Diamond Chemistry Adventure games is feasible as a medium of learning in the subject matter of Hydrocarbon for eleventh grade of student Senior High School.
