Abstract

ABSTRACT
Hearing impairment influenced by the children impacted to speech development disorder. That was it making the hearing impairment children difficult to communicate and interact with others. One of the speech skills which should be mastered by the children to communicate with others was speaking skill. Therefor, to train speaking skill of hearing impairment children required training either in the school or at home. Based on the observation result, the researcher in class 1 of SDLB Karya Mulia Surabaya indicated that hearing impairment children had difficulty in communicating with other. Therefor, this research studied about communicative-interactive approach in developing speaking skill of hearing impairment children with the purpose to know the influence of communicative-interactive approach toward speaking skill of hearing impairment children of class 1 in SDLB Karya Mulia Surabaya.
The approach used in this research was quantitative. The research kind was pre experiment with one group pre test post test design. Methods of data collection using written tests and oral tests, techniques of data analysts use non-parametric statistical test formula sign or "sign test". The results of research on the pre-test menunujukkan average value of 53.7 then the child is given the intervention as much as 8 times the allocation of time 1x75 minutes at each meeting. Furthermore, given post test showed no change in the value of the child is 72.6. Of the value of the formula is then analyzed using the sign test (Zh) with Z table 5% two-sided test of 1.96. Z value is obtained in a matter of Zh = 2.05. It can be concluded "no significant effect use-Interactive Communicative Approach to Communication Skills Deaf students in grade 1 SDLB work Majesty Surabaya". With the value of Zh = 2.05> Ztabel 5% is 1.96.
